My name is Tracy A. Gilbert. I am a candidate for the newly-created 418th Judicial District Court of Montgomery County.

In its last session, the Texas legislature established the 418th District Court ("the 418th"). While this is a court of general jurisdiction, the 418th is actually earmarked to primarily handle "family law" matters in an attempt to facilitate the overwhelming family law caseload burdening other courts in Montgomery County. Given this fact, I believe it is extremely important that the judge of this court have the special knowledge and training to administer a "family law" court.

In short, I believe a court specializing in family law should be run by a family law specialist.

Assisting hundreds of clients with their family law matters over the past sixteen years has been most rewarding. I would be dedicated to serving you as judge of your newly created family law court if you see fit to allow me to do so.
